ok so tuesday marked week 2 of me going to the gym. ive been going everyday (mines one or two here and there) and i even go on the weekends. for at least an hour. ive met with my trainer a few times and really love working with him.

he said my BMI% is just a little over where it needs to be so i only need to lose about 5 ibs and them just focus on toneing up.
well...ive lost nothing. i havent gained anything which is good. and i mean i didnt expect to see results over night. just discouraged and tryin to keep my motivation. cause when i get off work? i wanna go home, eat, and relax. instead i goto the gym, eat, then bed.

ive completley changed my diet.

morning- yogurt/ breakfast shake
snacks throughout day- carrots/celary
lunch- spinach leaf salad, light dressing, some kinda meat (ham/chicken) water and usually carrots/celary
dinner- i switch it up, its diff every night. i dont eat carbs after 7pm.

i drink nothing but water, cut coffee completly out (which is insane since im a starbucks freak and had coffe every signle mornign...) *sigh*

what else can i do!?

help :(

if anyone has any tips/suggestions thatd be fantastic!

Hey,

It sounds like you are doing a great job so far :)... Drink lots of green tea! I had a personal trainer here on campus and it is something that he recommended, it is suppose to help with weight loss. I also drink yogi brand detox tea. It is a tea that rids your body of its toxins.

Also try not to look at the scale all the time. My friend told me focus on how your clothes are fitting rather than constantly looking at the scale.

Be patient and keep doing what you are doing. Just remember to burn more calories then you take in. Your eating 3 meals a day and snacks so that is good and you're working out...just keep it up. You may be losing inches and not pounds...stay motivated girl. :)

my suggestion is to keep it up!

changing your diet is the top thing you can do, BUT here is the catch (and this goes for everyone!) you say you "change up" dinner but its also the best if you don't eat the same variety of food or food groups each morning or midday as well. What happens is our body's can in a sense build up a tolerance to the nutrition in foods we repeatedly eat, and then our metabolism and digestive system starts taking in ONLY what it is use to getting from a specific food; when you change the different types of "healthier" foods you eat the more work your body will do in working to recognize absorb and digest the nutrients it's needing.

for the mornings a good thing to try besides yogurt (which you really want to be light if you don't) is oatmeal (and mostly flavored with original if its too bland you don't want to add that brown sugar to it), one instant packet goes a LONG way...
if you like grits (i live in the south) I usually like one package of instant grits, and I sprinkle splenda (or any no calorie sweetener would work) to give it a little something. (same concept as putting brown sugar on oatmeal)

another thing you could do either in the morning for breakfast or i even used it as my lunch one day (and drank a full 20oz bottle of water to help fill me up)::

take one English muffin, cut it into two slices
use the freshest tomatoes you can find and put one slice on each piece of English muffin
then put one slice of cheese (I use cheddar) on top of that and stick it in the toaster oven for a cycle or you can toast it in the oven until the cheese melts.

It sounds odd, but if you like all three things - you'll be shocked!!

I hope that helps some?
