I took Dev to Funspot (giant arcade) last night while my mom took D to the movies. We were playin this game and won a bunch of candy. Naturally Dev wanted one and he picked out a piece of hard candy that was the size of a hi-bounce ball. He choked on it! I ended up having to give him the heimlich. Out of the 20 or so people standin right near us only one guy tried to help me. I was so shaken up by the whole thing. Dev only cried for a minute after the candy came out but it scared the hell out of me. I looked all over after I got Dev calmed down but I couldn't find the guy who tried to help. I wanted to thank him.
That was one of the scariest things I have ever been through! I thought I broke his ribs. I was so scared I wasn't going to be able to help him. He's fine like I said. He said his belly and throat hurt a little but after some ice cream he said he was fine.
I'm calling to complain as soon as I get done with supper. they should not have things like that as prizes in an area clearly designed for small children. Even an older kid could choke on those. And what if the parent wasn't around or paying attention.
