So for some reason today is one of those days....

I was suppose to have a girls night tonight..but she bailed on me so I am sitting at home and missing Matt like crazy!! How do you girls deal? I tried cleaning my room :cleanin:(omg it looks like my closet exploded!!) ha ha but that isn't doing it. It is kinda chilly outside and getting dark so walking is out of the option. Any Ideas?:chinscratch:

Thanks Ladies :)

and hope everyone's weekend is going great :)

(wow I feel like all my posts are downers!! sorry ladies!!)

lol I was going to say "this" haha mouse beat me to it! I also used to change my myspace layout all the time and add/take away icons and banners. like totally re-design it! or read (if I'm feeling anti-social) or a movie! Or write him letters lol seriously like a play by play of your life!

I spend most of my time online. I started to get back into reading and watching movies I know Adam would never watch with me. I kept a journal and wrote all the time while he was in BCT.

You definately have to find something that interests you. I just got this book called Help! I'm a Military Spouse and they stress getting out and finding things you love.

I'm honestly not very good at sitting around when he's gone, I get really depressed. So I got a job when he left on the last one and I worked like every chance I got... which meant any time I wasn't working I had like a thousand things I needed to get done.

and when all else fails just drink lol

and when all else fails just drink lol

I second that notion! lol Beer may not always make me feel better but it helps me fall asleep.

I spend too much time on here on a good day lol but it's obviously what I used to pass the time. I love this place. I READ a ton and I set goals for myself. My husband hasn't left yet but I have plans to repaint/redo my bedroom at my parents (where I'll be staying), learn to sew, train my mom's new puppy, and lose 20 lbs lol. I found while Mike way away last time that deadlines and "milestones" really helped me get through it all. I had some huge projects as well as some fun senior stuff I was counting on and the days flew...even though it doesn't always seem that way.

So in short, make yourself some goals, pick up a new craft, or hang out here with us!

i agree with mere! goals/projects helped me a ton! saving money, growing my hair out, losing weight, joining a gym, scrapbooking, ect!
countdowns are great, a few countdowns are good instead of one long one!

kell's right with the short coutdowns...I had countdowns till christmas break, big project due dates, graduation...or even just cutting the deployment up. like 25% done, 50%...cutting it up makes it seem like its going quicker!

Yeah all the girls are right! Smaller countdowns and goals. I started counting down by Mondays, like "Five mondays 'till I get to see him" -- it made it sound a lot better than 50 days, or a month. And usually I write, read, and got lots of work out videos. And of course- get on here! I started a "books i really want to read" list ..of course I don't get to actually accomplish it while I'm in college, but in summer - I live on books. It's like transporting myself to a different world so I don't think about the countdown! ...Of course, I'm a nerd.

Thanks for the input ladies!!

I never thought of having mini countdowns!! I think my only problem now is to get motivated..ha ha; which I think will be fine once classes are done with!! Only 2 weeks left and I am done until Fall... which is bitter sweet because when Matt gets back, I'll be starting up classes again :( LAME. ha ha
