OK, i seriously have to vent about this, my husband is non-deployable due to medical conditions and what he experienced during his first tour in Iraq, has caused him some mental issues also (PTSD,Sleep depravation,Depression,Flashbacks,paranoya,etc...) ..but of course, we all know that once a soldier goes to war, it effects them in some way..well, to first kick off the venting..thursday,my husband came home, all upset and angry,so naturally, like I always do when he comes home like that, I asked him what was wrong..well, he found out, that they are deploying him afterall..BACK TO IRAQ! ok, well, yesterday he went to pt and came home, well, he had to go see his commander yesterday morning..first off, he is getting counseling for the things he experienced in Iraq and is also on medication, so, after talking to his commander, he went to mental health to speak to his counselor..well, at that point, I know nothing thereafter..so, I sat here at home and waited for him to come home for lunch,he didn't come home, so, I figured ok, well, maybe he just went to the DFAC and grabbed something..he never came home..So lastnight, he gave me a call..his commander sent him to the mental hospital, so..now he is there until only god knows when, depending on his behavior..THIS IS WHAT I DON'T UNDERSTAND, THE ARMY DECLARED HIM NON DEPLOYABLE DUE TO HIS MEDICAL CONDITIONS AND MENTAL ISSUES FROM HIS FIRST TOUR IN IRAQ,REASSIGNED HIM TO THIS BASE AND NOW KNOWING THAT HIS FIRST TOUR WAS THE PRIMARY CAUSE OF ALL OF HIS MEDICAL CONDITIONS AND MENTAL ISSUES, THEY'RE SENDING HIM BACK?! WTF! THERE HAS TO BE A WAY THAT I CAN FIGHT THIS..IF ANYBODY KNOWS ANYTHING, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!

Thanks girl..i just honestly don't know what to do..basically the only thing i know of, is due to his being in the hospital due to it, may prevent him from deploying..but we're also sort of scared that it may result in a chapter 5-13 (formally known as a section 8)..he loves being in the army and really wants to make a career out of it,due to his injuries he suffers from that he got from his first tour in iraq, he would be retired at the age of 37..but with all this stuff going on, i just hate to say that, i see him getting out sooner than that :(

Maybe he Dr. can recommend that he not go due to his medical conditions. Maybe they are evaluating him. I hope it all works out.

That's what I was thinking too Cort, but I honestly don't know..So far, so good..but we're still waiting to hear the verdict..ugh! this is so frustrating, but I know that I have to be strong for him right now,if I break, he'll break, and that would be a bad situation!
So this is from quite a few days ago (sorry I'm just now reading it) and I'd really like to know whats going on now?
no matter what I'm sorry yall are having to deal with this... if you really want to fight it you should talk to like one of his superiors that he's really cool with or something

He's out of the mental hospital now, he got out today, has to spend the night in the barracks, and has a meeting tomorrow at CMH..so, i'm thinking the meeting tomorrow will decide his fate..not quite sure, but I'll keep everybody posted
