ok so this happened last week but it is bugging me because i am broke...
so i went to the tattoo place 2 saturdays ago and put a deposit down for a consultation appointment (which they said would be refunded if i canceled the appointment or chose to not get the tattoo after my consultation, and i reinforced this to them to be sure)
well i ended up canceling the same day as i made the appointment and the lady on the phone said that the money would be refunded at the beginning of the week...sooo i gave it till wednesday- still no deposit...
so i called the place and i told the lady that i still hadnt gotten the deposit back and she told me that normally you have to come into the store to refund the money back to your card but she said she will find a way to do it over the phone and call me back in 20 minutes...
of course she didnt call back but i got a call 2 hours later from the guy that was going to do my tattoo and he asked me why i changed my mind and why i didnt want to do it anymore- so i lied and told him i found a better deal at a place back home. so then he starts telling me that he doesnt want to sound like a prick but he talked to the owner of the store and he told him to tell me that the deposit is never refunded under any circumstances...so this guy tries to work with me and tell me that i can purchase store merchandise with it or buy a gift card to sell to someone else who wants a tattoo (obviously they wouldnt after i tell them about their $*!t) haha
so i go in on friday and the guy draws out a design of the tattoo i want and when he asks where i want it (on the inside of my foot) he says that he doesnt recommend it because its always rubbing against shoes and will eventually wear off (bullshit if you ask me) so i told him that i would just think about it then and call him back
well i still havent called back but i talked to my dad about it, and boy is he pissed! he tried calling the place and the guy just happened to "not be working that day" what a coincidence. so my dad is going to write a letter to them complaining...
im just irritated because i feel like they're taking advantage of me, being a college student. so hopefully they will think differently when they get a letter from my dad! haha
so yea...i could really use that $50 deposit right now- and i admit i shouldnt have paid it without knowing all the details but stilllll...
