I could cry. Some more...

We have three dogs and ya know, some days. I had dropped babies off at daycare this morning and came back home to shower before my doc appt. I was only gone 30 minutes. The smell hit me the minute I opened the door and immediately, all three dogs go lay down under the dining room table. Something told me I was about to get real pissed.

Upon entering the living room, I noticed something that can only be described as a shit-tornado had been through the place. OMG. I can't even tell you...all over the living room, trailed down the hallway (as if one of them had been running from it while doing it). It was awful!!

Upon entering the house, I had a soda can in my hand. Upon seeing what I saw, I slammed that thing down on my desk, along with my purse and keys. I'm a redhead and sometimes, it does get the best of me.

My desk was glass. The entire thing was made of glass and glue. Lewis had gotten it about 90 years ago while he was still in high school. It was his most awesome possession and when we got married, he gave it to me.

Betcha can't guess what happens next. The unimaginable. That thing shattered so hard that it sent pieces into my bedroom 10ft away! Keyboard, fried by soda. Mouse, survived, but acting strange. Monitor, scratched to hell. Speakers, still work. Printer has glass inside of it, not sure yet. Hard drive, still works wonderfully.

Not only did I get to clean up piles and piles, I also get to clean up glass. I ended up having to use my carpet shampooer and just shampoo all the carpet.

6 hours later, I have clean carpet (although the stench still lingers) and a new desk and keyboard. I stole Lewis' monitor from his PC. I've had to doctor my poor feet because I had sandals on when it happened and my dogs, well, they survived too.

I still haven't found a way to tell Lewis about the desk. I've never even let the kids around it because I knew it would break. And there I go, slamming stuff onto it. I just can't believe I did it. I immediately wanted to call the Red Cross and have 'em get him home "'cause I just can't do this shit!" but called my bestest girlie in the whole world instead. She suggested a margarita and boy did I drink it!

Thanks for letting me rant. Had to get that out.:tissue:
