my SO got me one a while back and i just like to say promised to my boyfriend instead of just dating. to me it's something more special than just being in the relationship, it's making a promise to a commitment a promise to support him and be there for him. iunno, it means more to me than i think other people, but i have always said promised to derrick.

Thats really sweet! I have never seen a promise ring. Is it similar to a cladaugh ring? One of my classmates was talking about a promise ring but i wasnt too sure but felt weird asking!

i don't know that there's really a 'typical' promise ring. but to me and derrick the three hearts represent our past and future on either side with our present time and love in the middle. iuno, he picked it out and i love it.

i have my engagement ring picked out just for fun, we'll see how it goes...

I think promise rings are all different. They can be pretty much anything that is symbolic, or important to you or has a meaning behind it, yknow? Mine looks like a regular engagement ring - which I think he did on purpose so guys won't mess with me at college while he's gone haha

ours was a friendship turned romance!! we met when we were 7, flirted throughout middle school, dated other people all through highschool, and finally got our chance at 18, got married at 19 popped out our first child at 20 2nd child at 21 (i turned 22 the next month), and our 3rd at 25!! it feels like forever but i wouldnt change anything!!
